Numeric is a small team of friendly people who are on a mission to help young South Africans excel in mathematics. More specifically, our goal is to create exciting and high impact learning environments in the form of afterschool maths programmes targeting learners in Grades 6 – 8. We currently operate in 35 partner schools in Cape Town and Johannesburg, with the bulk of our Johannesburg programmes located in Soweto. We recently expanded from 10 – 15 schools in Soweto, and as a result are looking for one additional programme manager to add to our team. Numeric's programme managers are dedicated to our cause, passionate about mathematics, and have strong organisational and people skills.

Each Numeric Programme Manager oversees programmes at five partner schools, which equates to ten classrooms or approximately 240 learners.  It is our responsibility to ensure that our coaches are adequately equipped, both materially and pedagogically, to deliver high impact maths education to these children and give them solid foundations upon entry into high school.

In addition to our afterschool programmes, Numeric runs a week-long math camp for 140 kids during the winter holiday as well as a two-week bootcamp for our coaches at the beginning of December. These are exciting educational environments and require energy, dedication, and organisation from the organising parties (i.e. us!)
